Introducing Yukon Yule - the 2nd Bear in my BOM

I am so excited about this bear - Yukon Yule! He is my favorite in the quilt. I love the look of wonder and amazement as he looks at the Christmas ornament. It is almost as if he is saying " It's getting to be Christmas" and that brings anticipation of things to come and happy memories of times past during the holiday season!

Yukon Yule is from the artwork of the internationally famous watercolorist, Will Bullas.

Here is Will Bullas' bear.

And here is my quilt adaptation.

The Quilt Pattern Magazine is offering the BOM (block of the month) and that is the only place you can get the pattern. It started in February and will be running through November. There is still time to join in the fun. All you need to do is subscribe during the month of March and you will get the February issue as well as the March issue.

I am hosting a workshop on The Quilt Pattern Magazine's social network - Pattern Pastiche. You can join me there to chat, ask questions or "share your bears"!

Bali Hand-dyed Watercolors - Style #1895 from Hoffman Fabrics were used in this quilt as they are just "purrfect" for these bears! Batiks Plus is offering the Fabric Kits.

Kreinik Threads is offering a thread kit featuring the speciality threads used with this quilt.

This pattern will only be available through The Quilt Pattern Magazine so be sure and SUBSCRIBE today. You won't want to miss the fun you will have with the Bullas Bears!

Machine quilted by June Bauman of June Bug Quilting.
